Create a proposal
Write it, set its choices and its voting window, publish.
Choose New proposal on the space page, or Create in the sidebar. Publishing a proposal is a signed message: free.
The three steps
- Content: a title, the body (Markdown, with a preview) and an optional discussion link, for example your forum thread.
- Choices and timing: the voting system, the choices, and when the vote opens and closes. A space can fix the system, the delay or the period for every proposal: the wizard then follows its settings.
- Review: the proposal as voters will see it, before you publish.
Who may publish
The space's proposal validation decides: for example, a minimum voting power. A space's admins, moderators and authors publish without it. If you cannot publish yet, the wizard says why.
Labels
When the space has labels, pick the ones that fit. Voters filter proposals by label on the space page.
After publishing
The proposal opens when its delay ends, and its voting power is counted at the block it was published. Its author, an admin or a moderator can still cancel it: see Hide and cancel.
